Last updated: 2026-08-11

Diamond Tax and Consulting Services Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal data, and the rights available to you under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

1. Who we are

Diamond Tax and Consulting Services Limited is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Our registered office is at Plot 770, Somide Odujinrjn Avenue, Olowoora, Lagos, Nigeria.

For any question about this policy or how we handle your data, contact our Data Protection Officer at inquiry@diamondtaxandconsulting.com.

2. What personal data we collect

  • Enquiry data — your name, email address, telephone number, company name, the service you are interested in, and the content of your message.
  • Consultation booking data — the details above, plus your preferred appointment date and time.
  • Newsletter data — your email address and the date and time you confirmed your subscription.
  • Technical data — your IP address, recorded solely to apply rate limits and prevent abuse of our public forms.

Figures you enter into our tax calculator are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to us and we never store them.

3. Lawful basis for processing

  • Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and for responding to enquiries you submit. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interest — for securing our website against spam and automated abuse.
  • Contract — where you become a client, to perform the engagement agreed between us.
  • Legal obligation — where professional, tax or regulatory rules require us to retain records.

4. How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange consultations.
  • To provide the professional services you engage us for.
  • To send you tax updates and deadline reminders, where you have subscribed.
  • To protect our website and detect misuse.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers store data on servers located outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we rely on contractual safeguards with those providers requiring them to protect it to a standard consistent with the NDPR, and we limit transfers to what is necessary to operate this website and deliver our services.

6. How long we keep data

  • Enquiries that do not become engagements — retained for up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records — retained for the period required by applicable tax, professional and regulatory rules.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Rate-limiting records — retained for a short period and routinely purged.

7. How we protect your data

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls restricting data to personnel who need it, database-level access policies, validation of all submitted data, and rate limiting on public forms.

8. Your rights

Under the NDPR you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data, where no legal duty requires us to keep it.
  • Object to, or request restriction of, our processing.
  • Request your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

To exercise any of these rights, email inquiry@diamondtaxandconsulting.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

We use only cookies strictly necessary for the website to function. See our Cookie Notice for details.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified on this page, and the “last updated” date above will change.
